Original illustrations and character designs. Fan art is fun, but building your own characters is where a style really grows — this is the corner of the archive for that.
Was reading Hunter x Hunter recently (books 1 – 3). I just realised they never expanded on Kurapika’s Kurta Clan backstory… Anyways, this character was just a doodle that I decided to color with scarlet eyes. I was surprised at how cool red eyes turned out to be — will definitely draw more characters with red eyes in the future.
Another original character design. Firesaber I call her, though judging from the design, that weapon looks rather hard to use.
Some original character designs I did a while back. Really should get into drawing more original art — need to develop my style into something really outstanding.
“Fan art built the audience. Original characters build the future.”
